An exciting opportunity to quickly take on responsibility and grow your career at a well-respected consultancy, specialising in defence related projects. You could be working on developing novel signal and image processing applications, working directly with clients and making valuable contributions to the business from the outset.Are you about to complete either a PhD or a degree in a numerate subject and are expecting either a 1st or a high 2.1, backed by top grades at A-level? Perhaps you also have some commercial experience where you have used your excellent software skills in programming, simulation or algorithm design? Either way, if you are quick to pick up new skills, and keen to take charge of complex and innovative technology projects from the start, we may have just the challenge for you.Our client works on exciting high-tech projects in the communications and defence sectors. They are looking for a broad spectrum of skills. Your experience may include any of:
- algorithm development or programming in C, C++ for image or signal analysis
- numerical modelling, simulation and data analysis
- data visualisation and UI for either embedded or desktop systems, including skills in Java or HTML / JavaScript
Common to all of the above will be an excellent understanding of physics and engineering from first principles and the motivation to take on complex technical challenges, as well as an impressive academic record.The consultancy is based in modern offices with high-spec labs and prototyping facilities on site. With excellent transport links in the area, the company is easily commutable from either London or Surrey.
