You will work with your team, other Managers, and the rest of the organization to define our software development technologies, practices, procedures, and policies. As Software Engineering Manager for Optimization AI & ML you are responsible for ensuring our modules and products meet or exceed the demands of the aviation world and are prepared to enable the future.Dimensions:Subordinate employees: 5-15Team size: 6-10Responsibilities:Set Software Factory direction, processes, and procedures for area of ownershipOwn corporate strategy by applying effectively to your organizationAlignment of engineering initiatives to focus on company strategic goalsEnsure teams understanding of engineering goals and company strategyIdentify engineering gaps and close themLead, support, and coach Software Factory Employees and holds the team accountableProvides people management: career development and performance management.Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to deliver on shared objectivesEnsures quality in our deliverablesContinuous improvement – Identify key performance indicators, measure and improveQualified Experience/Skills/Training:Education:Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalentExperience:10 years of experience in software development3 years of leadership experience – managing software developersAWS Certifications are highly valued,Knowledge of SAFe 6.0Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies:Driven and holds team accountablePassion for motivating and building teams to reach their potentialAbility to provide technical direction, influence, and build consensusKnowledge to identify future items impacting engineering skills in Optimization & ML/AI such as:Optimization techniques: Linear Programming, Column Generation, Shortest path & graph theory, custom heuristicsML/AI: ML Ops, generative AI (LLM)Ability to bring people together to solve problemsA strategic thinkerCustomer centric mindsetTechnical Systems Proficiency:AWSLinux/WindowsiOSThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.Company: NAVBLUE, Inc.Employment Type: PermanentExperience Level: ProfessionalJob Family: Leadership
