Today, worldwide more than 8500 employees are working on this permanent challenge at over 90 locations.Bruker offers differentiated, high-value life science and diagnostics systems and solutions in preclinical imaging, clinical phenomics research, proteomics and multiomics, spatial and single-cell biology, functional structural and condensate biology, as well as in clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics.The solutions product manager (bio)pharma market is responsible to develop solutions for the pharmaceutical market, managing and coordinating the integration of systems, components, services, software, procedures (SOPs, qualification, documentation) and consumables that will proactively aid the drive to market expansion and enhance the value chain, according to the strategy plan. She/he is responsible for all stages of Bruker BioSpin’s product portfolio management for the assigned portfolio. She/he will ensure successful go to market and continuously reduce time-to-money of newly launched solutions. In this case, the fist assignment will be peptides and oligonucleotides (TIDES). He/she will be responsible of showing the value of NMR to analyze these emerging drug modalities.The Solutions Product Manager (Bio)pharma (m/f/d) has a four-fold mission:
- Expand adoption of Bruker’s magnetic resonance technology in existing and new (bio)pharma market segments according to Bruker BioSpin’s strategy. Innovative displacement and/or disruptive strategies against competing incumbent technologies are crucial.
- Expand deployment capabilities of Bruker’s magnetic resonance technology into non-expert manufacturing and testing environments.
- Develop a differentiated and value-rich solution portfolio with a re-current business model.
- Pro-actively participate in the (bio)pharma market strategy development and execution process with a strong focus on creating sustained double digit annual growth of business.
Responsabilités
- Lead product life cycle and product portfolio management processes of assigned portfolio within the (bio)pharma market, including accountability of the stage gating process and corrective measures for product health, maturity, functionality, and business performance and for profitability (COGS/GM, re-current business models) of the full (software and hardware including instruments) solution portfolio as a whole.
- Establish, in cooperation with market management, a uniquely differentiated solution offering with an attractive and competitive total cost of ownership compared to competitive analytical methods and to competing companies. Accountable of the execution of the solution portfolio roadmap timely and with quality. Coordinate resources both within and outside the solutions development team when needed with the aim to accomplish the agreed deadlines.
- Understand market trends, dynamics and the use cases for these solution offerings and translate into requirements for design for usability, workflow integration, training and maintenance concepts.
- Increase the market awareness of Bruker BioSpin’s (bio)pharma market solution portfolios expansion initiatives by content creation activities such as, but not limited to, customer facing presentations and application notes.
- Develop uniquely differentiated value propositions for new solutions including smart data handling and interconnectivity to existing data management systems including re-current revenue business models.
- Develop and drive an innovative vision for entering new markets including displacement and/or disruptive strategies for competing technologies and establish magnetic resonance as the standard.
- Drive the product innovation management, including deployment scouting, new market identification and expansion in cooperation with market management, IP strategy and collaboration management.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive landscapes also including competing technologies.
- Interface with market management and business unit management, divisional application development, technical and platform product management, Central Research and Development (R&D), sales and operations. Recommend new application solutions, developments, or enhancements as a result of customer and/or sales force feedback.
- Take accountability for certain financial metrics of the divisional quarterly/annual business performance, such as total gross margin of complete (bio)pharma markets solution portfolios, return on investment of new solutions, product vitality rate and time-to-market.
- Effectively increase the adoption rate the solutions throughout and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Achieve acknowledgment and endorsement of new solutions by associations in cooperation with market management. Ensure appropriate validation and testing of new solutions and methods. Establish, coordinate and support beta-testing.
- Work in close partnership with market management to enable successful go to market and launch of new products, solutions and methods.
- Timely and efficiently transfer the new solutions to the different departments by generating the necessary material and delivering training to the applications, sales and service organization. Responsible of keeping the sales information kit up to date and easily accessible: POI, presentations, wiki, testimonials….
- Work with the commercial organization and market management to identify market personas along the different pharma market segments. Design sales and marketing campaigns targeted to those personas.
- Work with market management, the pharma business partner and group marketing during the go2market stage: launch plan, pricing, option number design and introduction in CRM, generation of marketing material (presentation, guides, videos, webinars, white papers…)
- Attend conferences, meetings and pharma events focusing on lead generation, gathering market insights and building long lasting relationship with existing key customers.
- Actively contribute to lead generation and nurturing. Embrace, disseminate and help improving the tools the organization provides for this.
[1] End-to-End solution means covering all aspects of the analytical question. Starting point (front-end) is the specimen and the outcome (back-end) is the answer to the analytical question. NMR expert knowledge is not required as no NMR data has to be processed or interpreted by the operator.[2] The value chain includes any stage of adding value to incoming goods. This includes R&D and any manufacturing step. The supply chain refers to the interplay of stakeholders and the hand-over of products. It is strongly linked to value chains and includes the journey from basic raw materials to end-user relevant consumer goods.Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Natural Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related discipline
- PhD. in structural biology (NMR), peptide/RNA/protein NMR or equivalent experience needed
- Deep knowledge of NMR is necessary
- Knowledge of the methods and technologies used in a product life cycle and portfolio management will be an advantage
- Proven knowledge in Agile and Lean Methodologies and/or Scrum Master Certification desirable
- Understanding of project- and product- Profit and Loss calculations, as well as budgeting desirable
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years professional experience in the (bio)pharma industry is required
- Product/project management experience will be an advantage
- Deep understanding and insight of end-to-end value and supply chains of (bio)pharma, ideally gained working for the pharmaceutical industry
- Very good English language skills. Additional language skills are beneficial
- Excellent knowledge of (bio)pharma use cases and personas, current applications and technologies used in various topics within the pharma and biopharma industry such as, but not limited to biologics, peptides, oligonucleotides, RNA and other new modalities
- Understanding of product life cycle process would be a benefit
- Understanding and experience in lean business innovation and lean development processes will be beneficial
- Proven track record in project management of new solution development is an advantage
- Proven track record in launching new solutions with business success and year-over-year growth will be an advantage
