Special Educational Needs Teacher – PiddingtonRole: SEN TeacherLocation: PiddingtonStart Date: September 2024We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs (SEN) to help them achieve their full potential. Your commitment to inclusive education and innovative teaching methods will contribute significantly to the academic and personal development of our studentsThe role/ Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of students with SEN.
• Adapt teaching materials and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students in the classroom.
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies and different approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with other professionals, including learning support assistants, therapists, and educational psychologists, to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and observation, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to facilitate maximum progress.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
• Work closely with parents/guardians to provide regular updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for support both in school and at home.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the well-being and safety of all students at all times.

Ideal Candidate:

• Good knowledge of SEN teaching and passion to help develop the pupils learning
• NVQ in Childcare and education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
• A teacher who’s is able to relate and follow the school’s ethos of working as a whole school team to ensure all the pupil’s academic and emotional needs are met.
• Able to commute to Piddington and the surrounding areas
• Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
