Species Recovery Officer – Wildcat Feasibility

Desk-based social, biological and ecological feasibility has recently been completed and
indicates Kielder Forest could be a suitable location for European wildcat reintroduction. We
would now like to engage a Project Officer to undertake in-person discussions with the local
community, gather feedback and undertake a range of field-based biological surveys. The
postholder will work with a team experienced in community-based wildlife projects. The
postholder is also expected to support staff and partners working on the restoration of other
species in line with national and local priorities, such as pine martens and water voles.

Closing Date: 28th July 2024
