This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a consistent, impactful role.The Opportunity: Fostering Holistic DevelopmentThis is a rewarding full-time position within a “Good”-rated primary school in Richmond. You will play a crucial dual role, enhancing pupils’ physical development through sport and contributing to their overall learning experience within the classroom. This long-term contract offers stability and has the strong potential to become permanent. You’ll be instrumental in creating an environment where children can thrive, building confidence and key life skills through both physical education and academic support.Your Role: Key Contributions to Pupil Well-beingAs a Sports Coach and Primary Support, your key contributions will include:

• Leading dynamic physical education lessons and structured break-time activities across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Utilising sport as a powerful tool to build self-esteem, promote positive behaviour, and cultivate teamwork among pupils.
• Providing targeted academic support to children, either one-on-one or in small groups, within the classroom setting.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of individual support plans in collaboration with teaching staff and the SENCo.
• Helping to run engaging lunchtime clubs, after-school sports sessions, and enrichment activities.
• Serving as a positive role model, championing resilience, fair play, and perseverance.

What We Require: Essential Qualifications & SkillsTo thrive in this dual role, you’ll need:

• Demonstrable experience coaching children in school environments or youth sports settings.
• A strong understanding of how physical activity contributes to overall pupil well-being and development.
• Willingness and capability to provide effective academic support and interventions across various subjects.
• A positive, proactive attitude with a calm and approachable manner.
• The ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils from diverse backgrounds.
• A valid enhanced DBS check or the willingness to obtain one.
