Robert Half Managment Resources is looking for a Senior Accountant that will play a vital role in supporting the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions for a large division of our public company. The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions while contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department during the ERP implementation phase.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities related to the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor management.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past due accounts to ensure timely collection.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.

• Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of financial operations.

• Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding accounting-related inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

• CPA or progress towards CPA certification preferred.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably during implementation or upgrade phases.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
