Jhpiego is seeking a Sr. Advisor, Global Health Technical Proposal Design to work together with technical and program staff in oversea country offices and Baltimore to lead the design process on specific proposal opportunities. The Sr. Advisor, Global Health Technical Proposal Design provides strategic guidance and advisement for country offices, proposal and technical teams to ensure Jhpiego’s successful completion and responsiveness of the most complex, visible and competitive proposals. The Sr. Advisor, Global Health Technical Proposal Design serves as a design lead or contributing writer on specific proposal opportunities. They will lead and facilitate project design, participate in effective leads preparation and conduct in-country capture trips to inform proposal design.
The Sr. Advisor, Global Health Technical Proposal Design enables Jhpiego to develop, implement and continually improve processes which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of proposal preparation, with emphasis on design, content presentation, facilitation and writing. This includes building Jhpiego’s capacity to assess consistent factors that contribute to our competitiveness and consistently realize strong positive feedback from donors, which result in new investments. They will work across a wide variety of technical areas, including integrated health projects.
The Sr. Advisor, Global Health Technical Proposal Design provides leadership to proposal teams and NPD unit teams on design; builds, develops and strengthens Jhpiego’s Baltimore and country office capacity in NPD; uses critical thinking skills to help shape organizational positioning for future business; exercises a high level of independence in designing and facilitating design sessions, workshops and other trainings within and outside Jhpiego. The selected candidate will work with colleagues on crafting messages and pitches to donors to advocate for furthering or implementing Jhpiego’s strategy.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
