Design tools to support production on safety, ergonomics, quality and productivity based on Tool Design Manuals and best shop practices for assemblies, forming, drilling and machining processes.
Understanding of materials and their properties to ensure the tools meet safety and performance standards.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, welding, mechanical assembly, 3D printing, and composite fabrication.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with other disciplines across the business.
Responsible for the RCCA to solve problems. Support and suggest corrective actions to solve quality internal and external problems.
Support Operations and Manufacturing Processes to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
Creativity to develop innovative solutions and optimize tool designs for performance and efficiency.
Analysis, conceptualization and execution of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Professional degree: Mechanical Eng, Aerospace Eng, or related.MS Office.
+5 years of experience in the aerospace industry designing tools.
English spoken and written (90% advanced).
Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed designs (CATIA V5 Part Design, Product Design, Generative Shape Design, Machining workbenches).
High knowledge in NC Programming, cutting tools, set ups and machine accessories.
Knowledge in GD&T for precise dimensioning and tolerancing of tool design components.
Extensive knowledge on standard hardware and components.
Experience in complex models/drawings interpretation.
