Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who is responsible for analyzing the financial statements and preparing various financial reports required by stakeholders. They will support senior leaders in forecast modelling and are responsible for the preparation of program audit files.Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly claims, and periodic financial reports, as required and in compliance with complex funding agreements.

• Assist in reviewing complex funding agreements and guidelines, as well as the budgeting process and analysis.

• Prepare budget submissions.

• Manage month-end preparation and closing procedures in an accurate and timely manner.

• Prepare the reconciliation of accounts receivable, deferred revenues, and other selected General Ledger accounts related to Government funding.

• Perform budget variance analysis on financial statements to support monitoring financial performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent experience

• Minimum three years of accounting work experience

• Understanding of the entire accounting process, from data-entry, to completing Financial Statements

• Professional designation such as CPA, or enrolled in an advanced stage of completing the program or equivalent work experience is an asset.
