About the Role

The Occupancy Sr Manager is a member of the Global Strategy, Planning & Transactions (GSP&T) team, which is responsible for managing Uber’s corporate real estate portfolio.

Reporting to the GSP&T Lead, this role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of real estate design and portfolio and space management.

The Occupancy Sr Manager has global oversight and will work alongside our Workplace Strategy Manager and Portfolio Strategist to establish tools and practices to align our global real estate portfolio scale and design to meet the scale and operating needs of our hybrid-based workforce.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a current and thorough understanding of the relationships between work practice, workplace design and portfolio structure and configuration

  • Monitor and evaluate changes to, and trends in, portfolio utilization and attendance by location and by function

  • Identify workforce, work patterns or work behaviors that may influence the scale, capacity or configuration requirements of our portfolio over time

  • Establish and manage tools, templates and practices required to advise on changes to the portfolio, its design and/or its features

  • Track and evaluate portfolio changes to assess and improve effectiveness of tools and practices, to advise of potential changes to tools and practices and to identify impacts to trends

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Occupancy Management, Workplace Strategy, or Corporate Workplace Design, preferably in the corporate real estate sector

  • Comprehensive understanding of the hybrid work model and the relationships between job functions and workplace design and space planning

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Master’s degree in Real Estate, Design or Architecture, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in Occupancy Management, Workplace Strategy or Workplace Design, preferably in a Corporate Real Estate (CRE) environment

  • Prior experience in a tech or start-up environment

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Expertise in market research and understanding of real estate trends and market factors

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year – USD$165,000 per year. For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year – USD$165,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$165,000 per year – USD$183,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$149,000 per year – USD$165,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber’s bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
