Marketing Manager, Knee & Robotics (Mississauga, Canada)Life Unlimited.At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.As a Sr Marketing Manager for Knee & Robotics you will be Reporting to the Director of Marketing, responsible for managing our Knee Arthroplasty and Robotics franchise. In this role, you will serve as the product portfolio strategic leader to deliver top line revenue, profitability, and bottom-line budget targetsBilingual (English & French) is a strong assetWhat will you be doing?The Marketing Manager plays a vital role in understanding the market and customer perspectives to shape and implement the commercial strategy for their product portfolio in the Canadian marketplace. Serving as the product line leader involves spotting market opportunities, crafting a strategic portfolio approach, and advocating for product development from a global to a local scale. This role entails conducting financial analyses and crafting business plans to guide project execution, developing launch plans and marketing initiatives to ensure the sales force is well-prepared, and supporting the local sales team in meeting targets for the assigned product portfolio.What will you need to be successful?The Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team to achieve annual revenue targets and improve portfolio performance. In Market Intelligence, the focus is on building relationships, gathering insights, and hosting customer events for valuable feedback. Strategic Marketing includes plan development, global collaboration, and product launches aligned with market strategy. The manager also emphasizes KEL Development, building relationships with key opinion leaders and implementing education programs.Strengths in forecasting, budget & expense management, collaboration on RFPs and pricing, and oversight of National and Regional conferences are valuable. Additional responsibilities include creating training content and leading mentorship initiatives. Overall, a commitment to understanding market trends, fostering effective team collaboration, and achieving key success metrics is essential.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, MBA is an asset
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in in managing sales, marketing, and product management/or development working in a health care or medical device environment
  • Bilingual (English & French) is a strong asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex problems and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Experience in wound and/or medical devices with proven results, strategy development, and execution
  • Knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system
  • Understanding of solution selling methodology
  • High-energy teammate with an entrepreneurial spirit, willing to think creatively to innovate

Travel Requirements: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the Mississauga office (and as required) with 30% travel, mostly within Canada.All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role, must successfully complete our credentialling process, which often includes COVID 19 vaccine management.You.
