This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary

This role is primarily responsible for assisting the Manager, Network Development with the management and administration of the dealer network in the U.S. market with a focus on optimizing the dealer network and implementing the Harley-Davidson Hardwire strategy and related initiatives. The work will support the review process of buy/sell transactions, including a focus on turning over underperforming dealers; evaluating new prospective dealer operators and developing a strategy to attain additional new-to-brand prospects; reviewing market actions by dealers, including new dealer locations, relocations, facility projects, and consolidations; and assisting with contract/policy compliance by dealers and enforcement procedures. This work will be guided by and in line with Harley-Davidson’s overall network plan and strategy for the United States. This person will work with the other members of the Dealer Network Development team along with the U.S. Sales/Dealer Support representatives and management to assist with the overall management of the Harley-Davidson dealer network, with a focus on optimizing the dealer network and growing sales in the United States.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Network Development Manager will all aspects of managing the U.S. dealer network
  • Assist in targeting and assessing new-to-brand prospects and connect vetted prospects with selling dealers
  • Assist with the implementation of the Market Optimization initiative and with the development of a 5-year dealer network plan based on input and guidance from consultants
  • Manage the review and approval process for all dealer market actions in the United States on behalf of Harley-Davidson Motor Company
  • Work closely with the dealer network to assist them with market action requirements and standards
  • Effectively communicate company policies and guidelines along with standards and requirements to dealers
  • Consistently collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including the Sales/Field teams, Harley-Davidson Financial Services, and other company departments to coordinate on market actions
  • Develop and foster relationships with stakeholders while keeping information confidential
  • Maintain a database of all market actions in process and under review through completion
  • Develop tools to measure as well as consistently report out on activities and progress, including visual management
  • Attend meetings and dealer shows as necessary
  • Support dealer development programs as identified by the Netowrk Development Manager and as defined within the Harley-Davidson strategy
  • Work on continuously improving applicable Dealer Network Development processes
  • Up to 10% travel.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft® Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills/mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Maintain confidential and proprietary information

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with the Harley-Davidson dealer network
  • Understanding of dealership operations
  • Strong financial background
  • Sales-related background or experience

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
