Working for Pembina means working safely.Overview:Pembina Pipeline Corporation is recruiting a Sr Advisor, Regulatory. Reporting to the Manager, ESG, the successful candidate will work with a team of professionals and be an integral part of the regulatory team within the External Affairs Service Unit.The External Affairs Service Unit brings together Land, Communications and Government Relations to provide essential services to projects and to ongoing Pembina business. In addition to this group effectively mobilizes project support across while ensuring proper governance and controls are in place.Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Prepare, submit, and manage applications and filings to regulatory agencies such as the Alberta Energy Regulator, British Columbia Energy Regulator, Canada Energy Regulator (CER), and U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC);
- Manage regulatory agency audits and inspections;
- Support Environmental Advisors and operational teams to manage licences, approvals, or other regulatory requirements;
- Monitor emerging regulatory developments, assess and effectively communicate impacts of regulatory change, and develop and implement strategies to manage regulatory change;
- Create submissions that comply with regulatory requirements, information requests, or conditions in approvals from regulatory agencies;
- Provide regulatory support as needed in the event of incidents;
- Develop, revise, and update corporate regulatory standards, as required;

Qualifications:
- Degree in Science, Engineering, or similar field;
- 5+ years of progressive environmental, energy, or regulatory experience;
- Strong understanding of Alberta and British Columbia regulatory requirements and processes for pipelines and facilities;
- Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. federal regulatory frameworks and requirements is beneficial;
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, promoting collaboration and valuing diverse perspectives;
- Demonstrated working knowledge of energy, pipeline, midstream, oil and gas environmental and regulatory issues;
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff;
- Solid quantitative skills including gathering, processing, and analyzing data;
- Teamwork-focused, demonstrating a high level of collaboration and motivation; and
- Proven systems thinker with strong analytical, process and problem resolution skills.
