We are on the search for an experienced Sr. Staff Accountant to join our team in the distribution industry, located in Miami, Florida, 33137, United States. The successful individual will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s accounting activities, using advanced Excel and SAP skills. This role involves key tasks such as entering journal entries, closing month end, and conducting financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
• Expertly use SAP for various accounting activities, demonstrating advanced proficiency
• Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis and report generation
• Manage the entry of journal entries, ensuring they are accurate and timely
• Oversee the month end close process, ensuring all transactions are accounted for correctly
• Conduct financial reporting, presenting the company’s financial status clearly and accurately
• Perform account reconciliation tasks, verifying the accuracy of data between general ledger and bank statements
• Utilize NetSuite and Oracle for various accounting activities as needed
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring all data is accurate
• Manage bank reconciliations, verifying the company’s records align with bank statements
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting purposes
• Experience with accounting software such as Oracle, NetSuite, and SAP for efficient financial management
• Expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• In-depth knowledge of General Ledger maintenance for accurate financial tracking
• Ability to perform journal entries for accurate record-keeping
• Experience in month-end close procedures for timely financial reporting
• Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and solve accounting issues
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant certification is preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
