We are offering a contract for a Staff Accountant position in Seattle, Washington. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in our team, focusing on bank reconciliations, audit preparations, and in-depth research to understand any variances and issues. The candidate will also be expected to handle other accounting tasks as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations as a primary task.

• Prepare schedules for upcoming audits to facilitate a smooth auditing process.

• Conduct detailed research to understand any variances or issues in the reconciliations.

• Utilize your bank reconciliation experience to ask the right questions and handle tasks efficiently.

• Use accounting software like Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks.

• Leverage your skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as necessary.

• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure the General Ledger is up to date.

• Prepare Journal Entries and conduct Month End Close activities.

• Although not necessary, having experience with Abila MIP would be beneficial.

• Prepare for a potential Federal Grant Accountant role by keeping track of budget expenditures and ensuring compliance with federal grant requirements.

The pay range for this position is $38.00/hr to $44.00/hr

The role is a hybrid position with 2 days per week in-office.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes, with a demonstrated ability to manage payments and expenses.

• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely billing and collection of payments.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, adept at identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Familiarity with General Ledger management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date company financial records.

• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries, documenting all business transactions.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled within the set deadlines.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for financial management and accounting purposes.

• Experience with Oracle, particularly its financial management modules.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, demonstrating an ability to manage and reconcile accounts effectively.

• Familiarity with SAP, particularly its financial and accounting modules.
