Job Description:UE07: £40,247 – £47,874 per annum.College/School/Department: MRC Human Genetics Unit, Institute of Genetics and CancerContract type: Full time – 35 hoursFixed Term dates: 2 years (1/04/25-31/03/27)The Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced and well-motivated bioinformatician, interested in bringing their computational expertise to cutting edge, biomedical sequencing projects.This is an opportunity to play critical roles in a variety of collaborative sequence analysis efforts in large cancer cohort projects. You will join an experienced and well-resourced group within an extended community of computational biologists at IGC, and work with multidisciplinary teams involving clinicians and experimentalists active in cancer research. The position is for 2 years initially, with likely extension beyond this point.This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.The salary for this post is £40,247 – £47,874 per annum.Your skills and attributes for success:
