CAD EngineeringGeneral Summary:The engineer will work within the Analogue/RF group on the design of radio transceivers. The candidate should have CAD tool knowledge, especially with layout tools. They should be capable of setting up and running automation tools like VDI and Analog Place and Route (APR) to create production layouts and help train others on how to run the tools as well. Useful knowledge includes scripting, especially in skill, debugging layout issues such as DRC and LVS, and knowledge of Totem and EMIR flows. Experience with finfets and coloring is advantageous. The candidate should be able to work with EDA Vendors directly, supplying test cases and direction as necessary to resolve tool issuesMinimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of CAD experience, EDA experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of CAD experience, EDA experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of CAD experience, EDA experience, or related work experience.Essential Technical Experience:

• 5 or more years of industrial experience in analogue/RF IC design with CAD tool setup and support experience.
• Contributed to the development of analogue design flow and methodologies.
• Basic understanding of the design flow from initial schematics to final layout and tapeout.
• Ability to provide support to other team members using layout tools.
• Ability to work with teams in other disciplines to deliver solutions while meeting deadlines.

Desirable Technical Experience:

• 10 or more years of design experience.
• Experience with layout automation tools such as VDI and Analog Place and Route (APR).
• Experience with PDKs and DRC/LVS extraction deck.
• Good documentation habits.
• Coding experience with languages such as skill/perl/python/TCL/shell

Preferred Qualifications:

• Enthusiastic about new EDA tools and finding ways to provide faster, better quality, and cheaper solutions. Enjoy working with other people as part of a team.
• Possess excellent communication skills so that he/she can articulate and share information to others.
