We’re in search of a Staff-level Quality Assurance Architect to take the reins on our automation framework design and fortify our QA squad. The quintessential candidate is an old hat at meticulously documenting software defects and possesses a knack for architecting, crafting, and refining testing frameworks. Proficiency in Java and Selenium is a must in order to perform in this role.

About Team: Quality Engineering Capability Center (QE CC) Team – Walmart Health and Wellness

Walmart’s Health and Wellness organization aims to revolutionize how customers manage their health, from managing medications, tracking health stats, scheduling immunization and vaccinations, receiving clinical services, to managing health records and beyond. The Quality Engineering Capability Center Team currently supports over 30 scrum teams internally, and is responsible for the development of a testing framework that automates the tests which other QA/Software Engineers utilize.

What you’ll do:

  • Explore relevant products/solutions from an existing repertoire to address business/technical needs

  • Assess gaps/updates/modifications between customer/business expectations and existing product/solutions

  • Classify requirements into applicable types (e.g., Functional/Non-Functional, Derived/Imposed/Emergent)

  • Anticipate solution risks/issues during requirements gathering phase and recommend corrective steps

  • Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/application/complex (For agile methodology)

  • Identify and recommend automation tools to automate repetitive tasks and releases

  • Build basic automation tools to improve quality processes

  • Ensure automation tests are built according to standards and adhere to best practice guidelines

  • Help decouple dependencies in running automation

  • Perform maintenance and re-engineering activities

  • Monitor and evaluate project progress against approved milestones and timelines

  • Provide inputs to relevant stakeholders regarding schedule progress, health, issues/risks, and key dependencies

  • Provide inputs to relevant stakeholders for creation of project plans

  • Ensure adherence to the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) process as per identified schedule

  • Provide recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues

  • Develop business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings

  • Translate business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks aligned with overall business strategy

  • Identify and recommend relevant business insights pertaining to their area of work

  • Determine testing tools, domains, environments, and test types needed to achieve testing objectives

  • Identify scopes and methods of testing for each business requirement

  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into user journeys and actions to create test scenarios

  • Ensure validation of end-to-end functionality of user journeys

  • Create/update traceability matrix to map test requirements with test scenarios and identify automation opportunities

  • Prioritize test scenarios based on functional/business importance

What you’ll bring:

  • Knowledge of traceability matrix, risk analysis methodologies, cost analysis, business objectives, and classification of requirements

  • Ability to explore relevant products/solutions and assess gaps/updates/modifications

  • Capability to anticipate solution risks/issues and recommend corrective steps

  • Proficiency in automation tools and technologies, tool development, and software maintenance tools and techniques

  • Experience with program metrics, program reporting/logging tools and processes, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD)

  • Understanding of industry and environmental factors, common business vernacular, and business practices across multiple domains

  • Directly relevant business metrics and business areas expertise

  • Knowledge of industry test frameworks, intellect test frameworks, test templates, various testing tools, test domains, and test environments

  • Understanding of test frameworks, documentation processes, test approaches, traceability matrices, risk-based analysis, test automation, system functionality, performance, and integration

  • Familiarity with data migration and accessibility, governance mechanisms, and risk assessment

HOBOKEN, New Jersey US-10279/Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

SUNNYVALE, California US-07003:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
