Job Description
You will be part of Pure Leapfrog’s Buildings and Retrofit team, contributing to our grant
funded innovation projects to develop and new services to support the decarbonisation of homes.
Our Retrofit for Lets project is funded by the North West Net Zero Hub is comprises of three
workstreams: 1. stakeholder engagement; 2. retrofit assessment; 3. green finance panel.
You will build relationships with relevant stakeholders and seek out and attend events to
spread the word about our project in order to recruit landlords and tenants to our offer. Your
on-the- ground insights will inform our marketing and communications to landlords and other
relevant stakeholders.
You will provide simple in-person advice to landlords in Warrington, as part of our process to
empower them to commission high-quality works to decarbonise private rented homes in
Warrington. You will advise landlords how Retrofit for Lets can help them and host initial
consultations according to our structured framework. Formal training and mentoring will be
provided.
You will coordinate and work with qualified retrofit assessors who will survey homes and
provide a report of suitable options. You will then help landlords to consider their renovation
options and signpost them onward to continue their journey.
The Retrofit for Lets project runs until April 2025. We are actively expanding our portfolio of
projects and services, so beyond this project, we may offer a contract extension to work on
project delivery across themes of Energy, Sustainable Finance, Carbon, and Natural Capital.
Duties
- Deliver our stakeholder engagement work within the project, whilst co-ordinating with the
team. - Organise and take part in engagement events and activities to spread the word about our
project and recruit landlords and tenants to our offer. - Support the team to maintain local strategic partnerships such as with estate agents.
- Work with our Digital Marketing Manager and the project team to maintain, further develop
and implement project’s marketing engagement plan. - Be the first point of contact for enquiries about the Retrofit for Lets project and
services.
Person Specification
This is an innovation project, and we are trialling new technical and
commercial solutions that will contribute towards the transition to net zero. You will need be
ready to meet unknowns and work with the team to overcome them.
As your role will be
customer-facing, you must be comfortable meeting and interacting with a range of people
(landlords, tenants, letting agencies etc) and working outside of an office environment.

- You are self-starting, can work remotely as part of a distributed team, and that you have
effective communication skills: verbal and written. - You have strong IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and you are comfortable
learning to use new IT solutions. - You are organised, methodical, have an attention to detail, and take pride in your work.
It
is desirable that:
- You have expertise in improving the energy efficiency of homes or have experience in a
field closely related to enhancing the quality of homes, such as the housing sector or
construction industry. - You have previous experience within a customer facing role.
- You have insight into the wider energy system, and the challenges to decarbonise the grid,
transport and heating. - You have an interest in innovation and behaviour change.
- You understand what social impact is and have an understanding of issues such as fuel
poverty, economic deprivation and exclusion. - If you have marketing experience, that is a bonus.

Location
- You need to live in or close to Warrington, as you will be regularly ‘on-the-ground’
talking to relevant stakeholders. - You will work from central Warrington with our Senior Project Manager – buildings and
retrofit at least once per week. - You will work from a public location within Warrington at least once per week on landlord
engagement. - Otherwise, this role is home based.
- UK based travel may be required from time to time for other work and to meet with the
wider team.
