Job description

The Department of Computer Science is seeking to appoint two Student and Academic Administrators to join the department’s student-facing administration team.The posts will support all student-facing administration in the department across undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes. The role will involve extensive contact and communications with students and so a polite and helpful attitude is essential. The ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy, with high levels of concentration and attention to detail is key to this role.Key responsibilities(Role holders will be required to undertake some or all of the duties below)Apply a good working knowledge of departmental/service administrative systems to answer queries and resolve problems from colleagues and external customers.Analyse, manipulate and interpret information/data and use it to produce reports and other communications.Oversees the email traffic sent to various shared inboxes – ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner.Providing administrative support to various committees.Act as the first point of contact for our applicants or students. Providing a friendly and helpful service.
