We are committed to embedding these principles into all the work we do, reducing barriers so that students from all backgrounds and lived experiences can feel a sense of belonging in the communities they find here.To align with our strategic priorities, and the specificities of this role, we encourage individuals from Indigenous communities to apply.Your opportunity:The Indigenous Mentorship Coordinator will develop, implement, and oversee a group peer mentorship program aimed at supporting first-year, first-entry Indigenous students in the Faculty of Arts and Science. This program will foster a sense of belonging, academic success, and personal development through group mentoring sessions, cultural activities, and peer support. The coordinator will work closely with Indigenous faculty, staff, and community members to create a supportive environment that honors Indigenous cultures and traditions.The Student Life Coordinator will develop and coordinate retention, transition, and leadership programs for Indigenous students, with a focus on an Indigenous group mentorship model. Responsibilities include recruitment, hiring, training, and supervising student mentors; coordinating marketing and outreach materials; and creating workshops, conferences, and events for mentors and mentees. The coordinator will also handle data collection, assessment, and evaluation of student performance and program outcomes. Collaboration with the Indigenous On-Location team and other members of the Office of Student Life and the Faculty of Arts & Science, as well as partnerships across the University, will be essential.The coordinator will work closely with Indigenous faculty, staff, College Registrars, the Arts & Science Office of the Faculty Registrar, and community members to create a supportive environment that honors Indigenous cultures and traditions.Your responsibilities will include:

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 12 — $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
