The postholder will provide an efficient administration service and be a key point of contact to students, supervisors and Crick colleagues. Working as part of a supportive team, this is an ideal opportunity to develop experience in both HR Processes and in postgraduate training and career development programmes.About the RoleThe Francis Crick Institute’s Academic Training Team (ATT) forms part of the Crick’s People (Human Resource, HR) Directorate. The team is responsible for the management, development and operation of the Crick’s early career researcher training programmes, including the PhD, undergraduate student, and clinical fellow training programmes. It also oversees the appointment of visiting undergraduate, Masters and PhD students and clinical fellows who are hosted in Crick laboratories for limited periods of time. The Institute has approximately 200 PhD students across 4 years of study, up to 40 doctoral and postdoctoral clinical fellows, up to 10 sandwich students spending 1 year at the Crick and up to 20 summer students during July and August each year.The Student Programmes Coordinator will report to the Student Operations Lead, and work alongside five other members of the student team. They will be a key point of contact for students, supervisors and other Crick staff, escalating issues to other members of the ATT where necessary. They will provide an efficient proactive administrative service, supporting the day-to-day delivery of the student programmes, working closely with the wider ATT and the People Hub Team.Key Responsibilities
