The Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking two highly motivated and experienced Student Recruitment Marketing Managers to take the promotion of our portfolios to the next level.
You will design, implement and evaluate strategic and tactical marketing plans, using your initiative and innovation to generate demand across both home and overseas audiences for our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes. Experience of overseas marketing, particularly within higher education will enable you to hit the ground running with an important target audience for the Faculty.
Stakeholder Management and cross-function working are crucial for the role, as are enthusiasm for collaborative working and the ability to take the initiative. You will flex these skills through regular and extensive cross-team working, both within the academic School you are associated with and across the External Relations Directorate as a whole.
A key element of the role is creating exciting and informative content to promote our portfolio, as well as supporting the Faculty Communications Manager in work to raise the profile of our research outputs, and developing the effectiveness of our owned digital channels.
You will also have the opportunity to work with our agency partners on paid media activity and our in-house insights team to provide market research to support portfolio development.
One post will be accountable for the portfolio of the School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS), where you would line manage the Marketing and Communications School Officer (MCSO), focusing on integrating School content planning with institutional content pillars and reputation raising work.
Another post will be accountable for the portfolio of the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS). You will line manage the Outreach and Recruitment Officer and Marketing and Communications School Officer, focusing on integrating their plans with your demand generation, conversion and reputation raising work.
Your application will cover both posts and, if successful, we will discuss with you which role would best suit your skills and experience.
The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £41,386 -£48,414 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. The roles are full-time and permanent, based at both Department W on Mile End road and the Mile End Campus.
