The highly successful Student Recruitment and Professional Academy teams at the University of South Wales are seeking to appoint a Student Recruitment Officer to lead and deliver its promotion activity and support its liaison activity with schools and colleges in the South Wales area, raising and promoting awareness of the University’s courses, including its Network75 and Degree Apprenticeship schemes.
Under the leadership of the Professional Academy Manager and Senior Student Recruitment Officer, the role will involve delivering presentations and workshops to audiences of students, parents, carers, teachers and advisers, as well as attending events and outreach activities to provide an insight into the study opportunities available at the University of South Wales.
A key element of the role will be to maintain and develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to deliver and support the strategy for recruitment to the University’s degree programmes, including its Network75 scheme and Degree Apprenticeships.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding communicator, who is passionate about breaking down the barriers to higher education and supporting access and progression to the University of South Wales.
The successful candidate will deliver outreach and engagement activity, growing awareness of the University’s courses, Network75 and Degree Apprenticeships schemes at USW, encouraging progression to USW and highlighting the opportunities and benefits of higher education.
The post will be based within a dynamic, fast-paced team and will involve working across a range of functions. The successful applicant will have outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills, be able to innovate and forge partnerships, have experience of delivering activities for young people, and be flexible and hard-working.
Please note that the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for the role.
The position is based at Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales, however, please note that extensive travel is required as part of this role, and the post-holder will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.
This is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months.
