Subject Co-ordinator, School of Arts and Humanities

This is a part time role offered on a fixed term basis to July 2024.

This post is offered for 30 hours per week, which include Wednesdays and Thursdays. The remaining working days/pattern will be discussed upon successful appointment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the administration team in the School of Arts and Humanities. The post is based on the Clifton Campus where the team provide a frontline administrative service to students, staff and other key stakeholders. The role requires an ability to coordinate, manage and align administrative activities across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree subjects and courses.

You will be leading and developing a team of  administration staff members that are involved with all aspects of subject administration, with a key focus on quality assurance.  You will be working with staff, students, external clients, and other members of the administration team so effective interpersonal skills in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. In addition, you will work closely with the School Administration Manager to manage and improve business processes ensuring that a professional level of service is offered to a range of end users.

You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, will be solution focused and will be able to competently prioritise both  their own workloads and the workload of their team.  The post requires an ability to respond positively to change, tackling challenges with enthusiasm and sometimes resilience and to be effective whilst working in a fast paced environment.  Well-developed organisation, influencing/negotiating and administrative skills are essential.
