Sudanese third party monitor (Data collector) – Female

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the progress and quality of humanitarian assistance programs and monitor and report the gaps and unmet needs of vulnerable children and women.
  • Assess the appropriateness of humanitarian interventions to the needs of the affected population, including regularly seeking and recording beneficiary satisfaction and feedback information.
  • Report on specific issues/difficulties with regard to the humanitarian -assistance programs including the effectiveness of the approach from the view of the end-user and issues and difficulty faced particularly by children and women.
  • As required, monitoring the delivery of supplies to end-users (i.e. tracking of humanitarian assistance supplies from supply providers to the end-user, identifying any delays, bottlenecks, and undelivered supplies) and/or assessing perceived satisfaction by end-users.
  • Identify and report key emerging issues from the field, such as newly arising emergency situations and/or socio-economic issues affecting children and young people, girls and women in particular, including disease outbreaks, malnutrition, protection concerns, etc.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of relevant administrative work experience is required.
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting, collecting and compiling quantitative and qualitative data, or interpersonal communication (casework, outreach, customer service, etc.) is an asset.
  • Experience working in a humanitarian context in Sudan.
  • A university degree in international development, , economics, statistics, research methods, political science, or a related field.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • The applicant should have a good outreach to the surrounding community
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from different cultures.
  • Fluency in Arabic, and good in English.

The implementation of the fieldwork will take place in the following locations:

Red Sea state:

Localities : Agig, Dordieb, Haya, Sinkat, Tawkar, Sawakin, Port Sudan

Kassala state:

Localities : Reifi Aroma, Reifi Hamashkureib, Reifi Shamal Ad Delta, Reifi Telkok, Reifi Nahr Atbara, Atbara
