To address the multiple gaps related to legal aid delivery in Ghana outlined above, the vision of this project is to ensure that the poor and vulnerable citizens of Ghana have increased opportunities to protect their rights through quality and timely legal representation and access to legal aid services by the end of 2025. Specifically, the project focuses on enhancing the institutional capacities of the Public Defenders’ Division (PDD) to increase the quality and quantity of legal aid services reaching Ghanaian citizens. The project will build on previous support by OPDAT/INL to put in place and strengthen systems/mechanisms for effective and efficient office and the management of cases. Efforts is made made to address the office equipment gap in 16 LAC offices being guided by the findings of the scoping mission across the 16 LAC office.
Against this background, UNDP is seeking to procure the following office equipment to improve effective and efficient operation of legal aid service in Ghana.
