General Description of the Organization:
Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Nonprofit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.
Job Purpose:
The supply chain coordinator will be responsible for leading and coordinating the organization’s supply chain activities. He/she will ensure that the supply chain operations are efficient, effective, and compliant with donor and organizational policies and procedures. The Supply Chain Coordinator will work closely with program staff, logistics staff, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services to the beneficiaries of the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain policies and procedures that ensure compliance with donor and organizational regulations and guidelines.
- Lead the procurement process for goods and services, including the development of specifications, solicitation of bids, evaluation of bids, and negotiation of contracts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Manage inventory levels of essential supplies and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Develop and implement systems to track and manage the movement of goods from procurement to distribution to beneficiaries.
- Ensure that all supply chain activities are documented and recorded in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff and vendors to promote compliance with supply chain policies and procedures.
- Analyze supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Participate in the development of proposals and budgets for new programs.
- Represent the organization in meetings with vendors, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain management, 2 years of it is in a humanitarian NGO.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in procurement and contract management.
- Knowledge of donor regulations and guidelines.
- Experience in managing staff and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain management software.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, besides Arabic as a fundamental language.
