Full Time Support Worker for PMLD SchoolStart Date: September StartAre you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) children? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join an outstanding PMLD school in Brent.About the School:This PMLD school has been awarded an Ofsted outstanding rating for its commitment to providing high-quality education and care for children with severe learning difficulties. The school’s nurturing environment encourages students to reach their full potential, ensuring they have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.Responsibilities:As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing individualised support and assistance to PMLD children within the school setting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting students with daily activities, including personal care, feeding, and mobility support.
• Implementing and following individual education plans (IEPs) to support student’s academic and social development.
• Collaborating with teaching staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting students during therapy sessions and extracurricular activities.
• Monitoring and recording student’s progress and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence among students.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Requirements:– Previous experience working with PMLD children or individuals with severe learning difficulties is highly desirable.– A genuine passion for working in the education sector and supporting children with complex needs.– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students.– A compassionate and patient nature.If you are seeking a rewarding role where you can contribute to the development and well-being of PMLD children, this full time Support Worker position is perfect for you.
