The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. This role sits within Operations for the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO). DARO develops relationships with our philanthropic supporters, and a community of over 30,000 global alumni. You will creatively bring together the right people, project information, and messaging to demonstrate the impact of philanthropy, and deploy appropriate strategies to maximise donor satisfaction and retention by creating and implementing a comprehensive donor relations and stewardship programme.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, this key role informs broader fundraising strategy, working closely across the team to deliver ambitious income targets.

The post-holder will have a minimum of a second-class honours degree as well as experience of supporting the delivery of high value donor funded projects. Significant experience in writing engaging fundraising copy, including a record or writing successful fundraising proposals is essential. Further particulars are included in the job description.

The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and permanent. 

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 6 in the range £42,875-£48,691 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
