The Sustainability Team supports Siemens Mobility’s business across a breadth of sustainability topics. The sustainability priorities for Siemens globally are outlined in our DEGREE framework, supporting the ambition to have a positive impact on society and the environment. Our team leads and supports stakeholders in our organisation on topics such as social value, corporate responsibility, modern slavery and decarbonisation.
The Challenge
Embark on your 12-month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in sustainability.
Encourage sustainable business practices within our operations
Collaborate with other teams to support the continuous improvement of social and environmental data
Support the ongoing development and implementation of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme
Support other relevant workstreams as required, such as modern slavery, social value, carbon and sustainable procurement
Promote sustainability good practice stories and support internal and external communications
The Candidate
We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:
Studying towards a 2:1 or above, ideally in a sustainability-related discipline e.g. Sustainable Development, Geography
Able to demonstrate strong interest in sustainability topics
You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
You can work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
