Swyddogion Prosiect: Rhwydwaith Ecolegol Gwydn Cymru (WaREN) – 1x Canolbarth Cymru ac 1x De
Cymru

Ydych chi’n angerddol am rywogaethau ymledol a bioamrywiaeth? Ydych chi’n hyderus mewn digwyddiadau cyhoeddus? Rydym wedi datblygu dwy swydd newydd gyda thîm prosiect Rhwydwaith Ecolegol Gwydn Cymru (WaREN) gan helpu i godi ymwybyddiaeth o rywogaethau ymledol ledled Cymru a’u rheoli.

Mae WaREN wrthi’n datblygu fframwaith ar gyfer mynd i’r afael â rhywogaethau ymledol ledled
Cymru. Rydym yn datblygu cysylltiadau rhwng rhanddeiliaid sy’n gweithredu ar rywogaethau
ymledol, a hefyd yn cynyddu’r ymgysylltu â’r cyhoedd i godi ymwybyddiaeth o rywogaethau ymledol
drwy gyfathrebu’r wyddoniaeth yn effeithiol a rhannu arfer gorau. Bydd y prosiect hwn yn
canolbwyntio ar ardaloedd newydd lle gall gael effaith gadarnhaol ar gymunedau. Mae hyn yn
cynnwys gwella’r amodau ar gyfer rhywogaethau brodorol, a phryfed peillio, fel eu bod yn gallu
ffynnu, drwy gael gwared ar rywogaethau estron ymledol. Am fwy o wybodaeth cliciwch yma.

Rydym yn recriwtio ar gyfer dau swyddog prosiect rhan amser, un i weithio yn ardal Canolbarth
Cymru gyda ffocws ar ardaloedd Y Trallwng a Llanidloes ac un i weithio yn ardal De Cymru gyda
ffocws ar ardaloedd Abertawe, Caerdydd a Merthyr Tudful.

Byddech yn gyflogedig gan Ymddiriedolaeth Natur Gogledd Cymru. Mae WaREN yn brosiect
partneriaeth sy’n cael ei gyflwyno gan Ymddiriedolaeth Natur Gogledd Cymru ac sy’n gweithio ar
draws Cymru gyfan.

Mae hon yn swydd sydd wedi’i lleoli gartref ond bydd angen i’r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus
ddefnyddio ei gludiant ei hun i deithio o fewn ardaloedd Canolbarth Cymru neu Dde Cymru, yn
dibynnu ar y swydd y gwneir cais amdani.

Swydd ran amser dros dro yw hon o 0.5FTE (17.5 awr yr wythnos) tan 30ain Medi 2025.

Project Officers: Wales Resilient Ecological Network (WaREN) – 1x Mid Wales and 1x South Wales

Are you passionate about invasive species and biodiversity? Are you confident at
public-facing events? We have developed two new roles with the Wales Resilient Ecological
Network (WaREN) project team helping to raise awareness and management of invasive species
across Wales.

WaREN is engaged in developing a framework for tackling invasive species across Wales. We are
developing linkages between stakeholders who are taking action on invasive species, and also
increasing public engagement to raise awareness of invasive species through effective science
communication and sharing best practices. This project will focus on new areas where it can
make a positive impact on communities. This includes improving the conditions for native
species, and pollinators so that they can thrive, through the removal of invasive non-native

We are recruiting two part-time project officers, one to work in the Mid Wales area with a
focus on the areas of Welshpool and Llanidloes and one to work in the South Wales area with a
focus on the areas of Swansea, Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil.

You would be employed by North Wales Wildlife Trust. WaREN is a partnership project being
delivered by North Wales Wildlife Trust and working across all of Wales.

This is a home-based role with the need for the successful applicant to use their own transport
to travel within either the Mid Wales or South Wales areas depending on the post applied for.

This is a temporary part-time position of 0.5FTE (17.5 hours per week) until 30th September
2025
