Fuse Energy, a leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Synthetic Fuels Engineer to join our advanced technology team. As we expand our portfolio of sustainable energy solutions, we are looking for an engineer who is passionate about the development and optimisation of synthetic fuels.Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimise processes for the production of synthetic fuels from renewable resources.
  • Conduct research and development to improve existing synthetic fuel production methods and develop new technologies.
  • Analyse and interpret data from experiments and simulations to drive process improvements and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of synthetic fuel processes into products and systems.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and progress to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all synthetic fuel processes comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement protocols and standards for testing and validation of synthetic fuel processes and products.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the scale-up and transfer of synthetic fuel processes from the lab to full-scale production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s or PhD is preferred.
  • Proven experience in synthetic fuel process development and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, kinetics, and process control.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software for process simulation and analysis (such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
