Overview

Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University. Jhpiego works with health experts, governments and community leaders to provide high-quality health care for their people. Jhpiego develops strategies to help countries care for themselves by training competent health care workers, strengthening health systems, and improving delivery of care.

The systems access administrator will work under the supervision of the systems administration manager on active directory and exchange user management.

Responsibilities

  1. Use Access Management
    • Perform account management tasks in Active Directory, SharePoint, and other Jhpiego systems, including provisioning and decommissioning of accounts.
    • Adhere to SLA to provide timely response and resolution to tickets within account management helpdesk queue.
    • Create, manage, and migrate mailboxes using Exchange and Exchange online
    • Create and manage distribution lists and security groups for Jhpiego Systems.

Utilize reports to regularly audit user accounts, security and distribution groups, and license distribution.

  1. Team Projects
    • Complete assigned account management projects that meet yearly department goals.
    • Provide weekly reports on account management queue and problematic tickets.
    • Review reports within account management dashboard and take necessary action on user/computer objects.
    • Participate in network security projects around account management.
    • Work with network security analyst to ensure modern authentication methods are being used.
  2. Documentation
    • Develop and maintain documentation around account management
  3. Training/Knowledge Sharing
    • Help train Jhpiego staff and Global IT staff around MFA, password reset and help identify the need

Required Qualifications

  • Required: HS diploma or equivalent required; BS in a related field preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish-English (required)
  • 2 years Active Directory; 5 years related experience preferred
  • 2 years Microsoft Exchange; 5 years related experience preferred
  • 3 years Office 365 experience
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and to work collaboratively
  • Able to script using PowerShell
  • Experience interpreting, adapting, and applying organizational guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and possess, detailed oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively manage several major activities simultaneously; exercise sound judgment in managing daily technology services, determine priorities, and implement and monitor short and long-range project plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, orally and in writing
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft network infrastructure, security tools, and protocols
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact well with diverse end-users and technical staff
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining and implementing improvements/solutions
  • Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations involving readily identifiable problems
  • Understand and apply fundamental network concepts
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in determining and implementing improvements/solutions for computer hardware
  • Experience training individuals in best practices of using computers, managing personal data files, and software applications
  • Understanding and ability to practice a structured approach to troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving computer problems
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience on a regular basis
  • Work collaboratively with clients, other technicians and vendor representatives
