KBR has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Engineer with our team in San Diego, CA to support the DOORS manager as an apprentice and provide succession and redundancy, ensuring the MUOS unique scripts, reports, traces, and documentation are maintained and updated. This position offers a telework option and requires a SECRET clearance.
As a DOORS Analyst, you will ensure succession and redundancy for the MUOS program. This role is crucial in maintaining and updating unique scripts, reports, traces, and documentation within the MUOS narrowband satellite communications program.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing and maintaining the DOORS database for the CGN MUOS narrowband satellite communications program.
Ensure that all scripts, reports, traces, and documentation are up-to-date and accurate, providing redundancy and ensuring continuity of the MUOS program.
Support the management of 115 nested folders, 177 modules, and 100,000 objects, ensuring all requirements and verification data are properly captured and traced.
Maintain and update approximately 10,000 lines of DXL, which are used to integrate satellite and ground manufacturer data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are captured, traced, and managed throughout the development lifecycle.
Assist in the creation of custom reports and tools for linking by REQID to support the program’s needs.
Provide technical assistance to stakeholders to ensure the effective use of the DOORS application for requirements management.
Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written.
Qualifications Required
Active SECRET clearance
B.S. in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in DOORS (Department of Defense Requirements Management System).
Experience with DXL scripting and custom reporting in a requirements management context.
Experience assisting other engineers and staff in determining requirements for simultaneous projects and events.
Experience performing data resource management duties such as the development, execution, and performance tracking of plans, policies, and programs.
Experience advising government program management on integration across full spectrum of interfaces to include coordination with multiple mission partners.
Experience reviewing and assessing program and capability documentation and coordinating with configuration and integration working groups to support delivery milestones.
Desired skills:
6+ years of relevant work experience
Familiarity with satellite communications and aerospace systems
Basic Compensation: $136,000 – $150,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
