An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax and Accounts Semi-Senior within a leading practice, based in Preston. This role requires a dedicated individual with a sound knowledge of tax and accounts, eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Preparing tax and accounts for individual clients and businesses.
• Complete corporate, personal, and partnership tax returns
• Produce year-end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies
• Prepare VAT returns and occasional bookkeeping tasks
• Liaising with HMRC on clients’ behalf.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Ensuring all work complies with the firm’s quality control standards.
• Assisting with ad-hoc tax and accounts projects as required.

• Relevant academic qualifications in accounting or a related field.
• Demonstrated skills in tax and accountancy
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
• A strong understanding of HMRC regulations.
• Good working knowledge of various accounting programmes ideally having experience with Sage, Xero and CCH Central.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• A competitive salary range of £30,000 – £40,000 per year.4-day
• 35 hours per week (with the option of a 4 day week)
