An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Tax Manager with substantial experience in professional services. The role requires a proactive individual with exceptional tax knowledge, capable of managing a team and interacting with clients.Drafting of advice letters, reports and documentation on tax planning projects to include:

  • Company reorganisations (e.g. demergers, share for share exchanges, alphabet shares)
  • MBOs
  • Dividend planning
  • EIS and SEIS share issues
  • Management buy outs
  • Share schemes including EMI and unapproved schemes – Desirable
  • R&D Tax credits and patent box – Desirable
  • Due diligence (Employment tax, corporate tax and VAT)
  • Senior Accounting Officer reporting requirements
  • Year-end tax planning
  • Supervision and development of staff (it is anticipated that our team will grow)
  • Ad hoc advisory work on CT, CGT and income tax issues. The role does not envisage IHT advisory work.

  • A strong academic background in Tax, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the professional services industry.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • An in-depth knowledge of taxes impacting on companies and their owners, including CT, income tax, CGT, and employment taxes.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills.
  • The ability to review work, provide honest feedback, and develop staff
  • ATT/CTA (or working towards) – Desirable
