Contract Opportunity – Senior Manager, Canadian TaxRobert Half has an exciting 6-month contract opportunity for a seasoned Senior Manager, Canadian Tax. This role is perfect for a dynamic individual who isn’t intimidated by high-pressure environments, can adapt quickly, and is ready to make an immediate impact. The role demands 4 onsite workdays weekly in the Golden Horseshoe area.Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead tax compliance efforts, including preparing and filing timely Canadian tax returns.

• Verify accuracy and compliance of tax filings.

• Direct tax accounting operations, aligning with IFRS guidelines.

• Coordinate with the Finance and Accounting departments to ensure appropriate tax accruals and deferred tax balances.

• Strategize to determine the most tax-efficient methods

• Provide tax-related guidance.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Strong track record in a large, complex environment; experience in a Big 4 environment is highly advantageous.

• Extensive understanding of Canadian tax regulations, tax accounting according to IFRS, and experiences with cross-border tax concerns.

• Prior experience handling year-end tax provisions, managing tax reporting deadlines, and participating in audits.

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields along with CPA, CA or Master’s in Taxation.

• Comprehensive understanding of organizational risk levels.
