The Bedford Sixth Form, are currently recruiting for a Teacher of A Level Computer Science.Teachers at The Bedford Sixth Form, play a pivotal role in the success of our students through help students develop their skills and reach their maximum potential through the delivery of courses and contributing to the development of Sixth Form curriculum and student experience.Ideal candidates will have current experience of teaching computer science and up to date knowledge of subject area, syllabus, and teaching methods, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Recognised Teacher Qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTS)
  • Degree in a relevant subject
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent

  • 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE)
  • Full time hours will be considered alongside an appropriate second subject.
  • Directed attendance – Teachers working at The Bedford Sixth Form usually have an attendance requirement of 39 weeks. Details of this will be communicated ahead of each academic year.
