You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, helping them develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.The school values academic success but also emphasises the importance of preparing students for a dynamic future. They foster a culture of lifelong learning and are committed to supporting staff growth.Position Details:Location: BradfordContract: Long term full time positionPay Rate: £150 – £223 per day (UPS rates considered)Essential Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• An understanding of the national curriculum for languages
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

• Familiarity with safeguarding protocols and best practices.

• Creative thinking and the ability to differentiate lessons to cater to all learning styles.

• Strong classroom management skills, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment.

• Ability to provide constructive feedback to students and parents on progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking in students.

• Provide detailed, constructive feedback to help students meet and exceed their targets.

• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages every student to thrive.

• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities.

• Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student success.

• Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and plan next steps.

• Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of all students.

• Set and mark homework, providing timely and effective feedback.
