• Role: History Teacher

• Contract Type: Full-time
• Duration: Longer-term, transitioning to temp-to-perm

About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering high-quality History lessons that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and a love for learning about the past. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students’ academic and personal development while contributing to the wider school community.Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Foster students’ curiosity about the past and encourage analytical thinking.
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
• Contribute to the curriculum development of the department.
• Participate in the school’s extra-curricular activities related to History and humanities.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and engagement in line with the school’s policies.
• Engage in professional development opportunities and ongoing training.
• Carry out professional duties as detailed in the Conditions of Service.

Who Can Apply?We welcome applications from:
✔ Qualified History Teachers (QTS or equivalent).
✔ Early Career Teachers (ECTs) qualifying this year.
✔ Unqualified teachers with strong subject knowledge and teaching experience.Requirements:

• A strong passion for History and education.

• A commitment to raising attainment and adding value within the school setting.
• A Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required.
