The Department of Anthropology at UCL is a research-led department with an international reputation, offering innovative teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We have approximately 220 UG students and 400 PGT students across our programmes, some of which are based at UCL East.

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Teaching and Learning Administrator. The role sits within the Education Team, comprising 8 team members in total and is responsible for the administration of part of the PGT programmes offered by the Department. The post will have a split presence between the UCL’s Bloomsbury and UCL East campuses from Academic Year 2023/24.The role is available from 1 September 2023.

The postholder will provide specialist administration to the designated PGT teaching programmes, ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for all aspects of its administration.

The role will provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of students from enquiry to completion, incorporating supporting committees and processes relating to assessment, student and course records; the post requires a high level of teamwork with the other Education Team members and departmental academics.

About you

The ideal candidate will have an efficient and proactive approach, with strong attention to detail skills and will be able to work independently as well as part of a team within a friendly environment. In addition to working with staff within the Department and UCL, the role will involve contact and communication with students and the general public, and a professional, polite and helpful attitude is essential.
