Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Support Role in HaringeyAre you an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a fulfilling role in a primary school setting? A wonderful Haringey school is looking for a proactive Teaching Assistant to support their Year 6 class. This dual-purpose role involves general classroom assistance and providing focused 1:1 support to pupils with Autism and high emotional needs.Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons.
• Provide personalised 1:1 support for pupils with emotional or social challenges, ensuring they thrive in the classroom.
• Encourage pupil’s confidence and academic development in their final primary school year.
• Work closely with the school team to adapt and implement effective teaching strategies.

Teaching Assistant Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with Autism or emotional needs.
• A patient, empathetic approach with a focus on building strong relationships.
• The ability to foster a calm and nurturing learning environment.
• An Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one via Reeson Education.
