Academics, a leading education recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Sheffield. This rewarding full-time contract involves working 1 to 1 with a child with SEN within a specialist unit.Role Overview:As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support to a child with SEN, helping them to engage fully in classroom activities and achieve their potential. This position starts on the 2nd of September and runs until the end of the academic year in July.Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering personalised support to a child with SEN on a 1 to 1 basis.
- Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans.
- Encouraging and facilitating social interaction and communication.
- Supporting the child’s emotional and behavioural development.
- Collaborating with teachers and SEN coordinators to track progress.
