ASAP startAcademic Appointments are working with a Secondary school in Sheffield who are currently searching for full-time Teaching Assistant to work as part of a dedicated and resourceful team.
The role will be supporting throughout KS3 and KS4 classes and within the schools IR classroom.Requirements:To be considered for the teaching assistant position, you will:
- Hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience in schools
- Working knowledge of Safeguarding policy is highly desirable.
- Have experience working in a Primary/Secondary school setting.
- Have knowledge of the National Curriculum and maintaining records
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
- 2 x references (including your last employer)
Key responsibilities:
- Support groups of children with their learning under the guidance of a teacher
- Support individual pupils needing additional support
- Provide supervisory cover in the Teachers absence
