Teaching Fellow in International Relations & Politics – Maternity Cover

Liverpool John Moores University

Salary Range

£36,333 – £43,155 per annum

The School of Humanities and Social Science is seeking to appoint a 12-month teaching fellowship in International Relations and Politics.

Following the highly successful introduction of an MA in International Relations in 2017, LJMU started an undergraduate Programme in International Relations and Politics in 2019. We require a temporary 12-month maternity cover.

We are seeking to appoint a temporary teaching fellowship able to teach on a number of modules related to International Relations and Politics at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be required to lead and teach on 4-5 modules across the academic year. We need someone who can teach an L5 politics and popular culture module and an L5 international organisations module as well as L7 research methods and war/peace cycle modules. We will also require you to supervise students on L5, L6, and L7 research project modules. Module guides can be sent upon request.

There would be an additional expectation around the delivery of wider undergraduate, and postgraduate teaching as required, including foundation level. You should have completed a PhD in the discipline and have relevant teaching experience at undergraduate level.

Informal enquires may be made to the Programme Leader Dr. Matthew Alan Hill, email: [email protected] .
