Job Description:Grade UE05: £27,979 – £32,332 per annumCSE/School of ChemistryFull-time: 35 hours per weekOpen-ended: permanentWe are looking for an effective, adaptable and motivated Teaching Office Administrator to be a part of our Chemistry Teaching Office at the School of Chemistry.The Opportunity:As our colleague, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining efficient and effective teaching office administration. This role combines the need for excellent administrative and communication skills, an organised approach to prioritising of tasks and excellent attention to detail. You will be responsible for the administration of all teaching activities for key components of our Chemistry degrees and will seek to develop your expertise in your area, and you will be proactive in identifying opportunities to develop and improve our service to students and academic colleagues.This is role represents an opportunity to play a key part in contributing to the teaching office team. The first Chemistry Professor was appointed to the Chair in 1713 and the Edinburgh University student-led Chemical Society is regarded as the oldest chemical society in the world. The School is run as a single academic unit with approximately 50 academic staff, 40 professional support staff and 250 research students and post-doctoral workers and a first year intake of 135 Chemistry undergraduates.
