Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader of the Cancer Research Delivery Group (CRDG) at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital.We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic Team Leader with significant knowledge and understanding of clinical research in oncology. They should have expert experience of planning, coordinating and conducting cancer clinical trials as well as clinical audits. The applicant should also have excellent communication skills, be able to make decisions, effective management skills and the ability to priorities workload. Experience of training and motivating teams to ensure high standards of quality are maintained in delivering clinical trials as well manage the care and follow up of trial patients, as per regulatory requirement, are essential.Main duties of the jobThe Team Leader is part of the CRDG management team, prime focus of the role is:
- Working with clinical and academic staff in all stages of the development of the cancer research portfolio.
- Improving patient recruitment into clinical trials
- Provide management of a team of Clinical Research Nurses, Clinical Trial Practitioners and Research Administrators.
- Develops strategies for efficient management and delivery of clinical trials
- Ensuring the team meets appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) and Centre Objective
In bringing together laboratory and clinical patient-based research, our Centre promotes translational work needed to develop new anti-cancer drugs and diagnostics from the laboratory into clinics and then to test them in early phase clinical trials, and develop them into late phase trials.We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic Team Leader with significant knowledge and understanding of clinical research in oncology.
