Overview:
IBTCI is seeking a short-term Technical Advisor to work with IBTCI’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) practice. The level of effort (LOE) for this assignment is up to a maximum of 6 months per direction of the Technical Point of Contact listed above. The LOE is up to 25% but may be more if mutually agreeable to the Consultant and IBTCI.
Responsibilities
Duties/Tasks that may be called upon during this consultancy:
BD Support:
- Proposal support:
- Lead technical writing efforts or provide support to lead proposal writers
- Provide inputs to non-writing proposal efforts including but not limited to: staffing and management plans, institutional capabilities, preparation of job descriptions, etc.
- Assist in research or provide intel for BD opportunities
- Provide input on IBTCI’s prior experience to support ongoing BD pursuits
- Conduct market research on opportunities within consultant’s area of expertise to support long-term BD pursuits
- Develop analyses of potential partners to inform BD decision making
- Other activities as mutually agreed.
Non-BD Support:
- Review technical documents, including but not limited to project deliverables, and provide review and comments within areas of consultant’s expertise
- Support project teams utilizing technical expertise and experience
- Other activities as mutually agreed.
Serve in the above consultant capacity to support the IBTCI MERL Practice and/or Business Development division.
- This position does not authorize/require the consultant to directly communicate with IBTCI clients.
- This position does not authorize/require the consultant to have decision making authority on final work product.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in international development; including with USAID.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of IBTCI’s core capabilities, recent experience and processes and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and write about complex topics.
- Strong attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite of applications.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant topical area and/or English, Communications, or a technical discipline required. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Not required.
Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.A.
Pay Transparency Statement: We are dedicated to ensuring a thoughtful, compliant, and equitable approach to employment compensation. Our commitment includes conducting a comprehensive salary analysis that considers individual skill sets, qualifications, business needs, internal compensation data, and industry and labor market surveys. The anticipated pay range for this consultancy is 450.00 to 784.00 USD daily.
